One perfect image is capable of conveying the message, which 100 words cannot able to convey. So the use of visual elements including photographs, video clippings, animation and graphical elements will add more attraction to the website.
Graphical elements are the pictorial representation that emphasise or boost the text included in the website. A website with more visual elements will convey messages more easily then those websites which give more importance to the content. The net browsers have do not have the patience to read long text in a webpage.
If the site is crowded with information, devoid of any proper arrangements the reader will simply skip the site and move onto more reader friendly one that gives priority to visual elements. Graphical designing gains importance this way. If a site has to be popular, care should be taken while adding graphical elements to it. With the advent of multimedia soft wares, the scope of graphical elements has widely extended. The banner, background design of the page, typography, cropped photographs, edited video clippings, and 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional animations all actively forms part of graphical designing.
Most of the popular sites make use of all these elements and further more audio inputs were also included in many of the music based websites. The extent of using graphical elements depends on the purpose of the site and the target audience. Including graphical elements in a website convert it into an interactive one. Now a day we cannot imagine a website without any graphical elements included in it.
